Historian's Report: In September of 2016, Troop 23 went on a camping trip to Schiff Scout Reservation. On this trip we very much emphasized outdoorsmanship, fire building, and camping. We camped in tents and cooked using fire instead of using propane. We used coffee cans and skillets to cook our meals. We used soap to coat the bottom of the skillet when cooking so the bottom wouldn't burn. The PLC slept a tree tent and the other scouts slept in tents or a hammock. We learned many different types of fires and as well learned many knots!
